Good question! For every AOI defined we calculate a value between 0 and 100%. The calculation uses salience and the size of the defined area as they both affect the likelihood the AOI will be seen.
Downloading raw heatmap data can be done via the media viewer, but only if you are a Pro user. Head over to the media item you would like the raw data for and click the download button in the top nav bar. In the opened dialog box, click "Generate" under "Complete". This will generate a download link for a zip file containing the original file, all heatmaps and the raw heatmap data associated with the current media item.

We currently don't offer the option to move files between work and/or subspaces. We are working on adding this functionality in a later release.
We deliver the raw data in an uncompressed PNG file, so you can process it any way you like.
Yes you do! We're not making any exceptions!
Removing files is easy. Head over to the file you want to remove and hit the Bin icon. Once you confirm deletion, the file and any associated Areas Of Interest and Heatmaps will be removed. Keep ind mind this process cannot be undone!
Head over to the media item containing the Area Of Interest you would like to hide using the media viewer. Once there, simply click on the hide/unhide (eye) icon in the AOI list next to the Area Of Interest you would like to hide.
Using Areas Of Interest is easy! Simply upload your image, run a prediction and use the "Create an AOI" button in the top navigation bar to create your AOI. Once clicked, it will generate a box in the top left corner of your creative. Simply drag and drop that to the area of your choice and reshape it to match your desired AOI. The AOI calculation is shown in the left menu bar.
Yes you can! This can be done via the media viewer. Head over to the media item you would like the original file for and click the download button in the top nav bar. An Area of Interest, also referred to as an AOI, is a tool to select regions of a displayed stimulus, and to extract metrics specifically for those regions.
While not strictly a metric by itself, it defines the area by which other metrics are calculated. In the case of our platform, we create a prediction of how likely it is that the defined AOI will be seen.
There are two ways to name/rename an Area Of Interest:
Yes definitely. We've built in keyboard shortcuts to make your life easier and you can find them in your media viewer in the top nav bar, on the right, or by pressing Shift and ?.
You have access to all features available in our Pro plan. As part of your trial you will get access to our platform for 14 days and you can process up to 100 images and up to 90 seconds of video.
Head over to the work or subspace you would like to delete and hit the bin icon in the top nav bar. Deleting a workspace or subspace removes the space and all files and heatmaps in that space. Keep in mind this process is irreverisble and thus cannot be undone.
Areas of interest can be used to evaluate how well important elements in an image are able to grab attention. For instance, it can tell you how well a brand logo or a product grabs attention in an ad, or how well a call to action or a button grabs attention in a UX design. This can make it easier to compare designs.
If you generate a heatmap, we also calculate the salience of the added AOI's. The salience of an AOI can be interpreted as the prediction of how likely it is that the AOI will be seen, and is a value between 0-100%. Both the size of the AOI and the salience of the AOI affect the likelihood the AOI will be seen.
Don't worry, expoze.io is easy! We've created a short video as well as a step by step guide which can be found here.
